Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez has given an update on when he will return to the UFC.
On Wednesday, Valesquez posted a video on his Instagram announcing that he is expecting to have a child. The video is taken at his gender reveal party where he learned he was having a son. The gender of the child was revealed via a message from an airplane.
“Everyone has been asking when I’m coming back…you can see I’ve been a little busy. Happy to announce “Lil’ Cain” will be here in November. I’ll be back soon. Thanks for the support and patience,” Valesquez wrote on his Instagram account.
Valesquez has not fought since July. At UFC 200, he defeated Travis Browne by TKO.
Valesquez was scheduled to fight fellow former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum back in December. However, Valasquez was forced to withdraw from the fight due to a back injury.
