UFC welterweight Demian Maia faced Jorge Masvidal during the night’s event. The fight ultimately went the distance. After a moment of anticipation, it was revealed that Demian Maia earned a split decision victory over his opponent.
Following the performance, Demian Maia revealed that UFC President Dana White disclosed something to the fighter ringside. Maia explained that White promised him a title fight against UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
