Conor McGregor: Dillon Danis is my Protégé

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor appears to have taken a fighter under his wing. This time, the UFC lightweight champion has called Dillon Danis something of a “protégé.”

Dillon Danis is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach to the UFC champion and was recently signed to Bellator MMA, though Danis has not yet received a mixed martial arts debut matchup with the promotion.

In a recent interview, Conor McGregor revealed that he sees himself almost like a mentor to Dillon Danis. “He’s got the mindset. He’s got my mindset. He’s like a protégé.” McGregor stated.
