Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier does not seem to think quite the same about boxing as some of his fellow UFC competitors. In fact, the champion is not interested in fighting in a boxing ring at all.
With UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor looking to face Floyd Mayweather for the payday of his career, it is perhaps easy to see why other UFC fighters would want to follow in his step. UFC competitor Jimi Manuwa recently called out boxer David Haye.
Still, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier seems to believe that a mixed martial artist facing a traditional boxer in a boxing ring may not end well. In fact, he believes it would likely end quite poorly for the mixed martial artist.
Responding to a fan over Twitter, the light heavyweight champion made his opinion clear. “I would get knocked out so fast!!! All of us would in a BOXING match. We CANT outbox these dudes in straight boxing matches man.” Daniel Cormier explained.
