UFC President Dana White does not seem optimistic when it comes to the return of former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre.
On Wednesday, White appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter and talked about St-Pierre’s future.
“Obviously, I was expecting him to fight this summer. That is not the case. We’ll see what happens,” White said.
“I know he recently came out and said he would fight in November. I like Georges St-Pierre. He’s a great guy. We’ll see. We’ll see what happens.”
St-Pierre has not fought in the UFC since 2013. He took a sabbatical from the promotion after successfully defending his UFC title for the ninth time.
Upon his return, St-Pierre is expected to fight UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping for the middleweight title. St-Pierre has never fought as a middleweight in the UFC.
