UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier will defend his title against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones at UFC 214.
MMA Imports confirmed with sources close to the situation that Cormier vs. Jones is official for July 29.
Cormier was scheduled to defend his title against Jones last July at UFC 200. However, Jones tested positive for a banned substance and was taken out of the fight just days before it was scheduled to happen.
Jones has since received a one-year suspension for his failed drug test. His suspension expires in July.
This will be the second time Jones and Cormier fight for the UFC title. In Jan. 2015, Jones won a decision against Cormier at UFC 182.
Cormier is coming off a successful title defense in April. At UFC 210, he submitted Anthony Johnson. Jones has not fought since April 2016 when he won an interim title fight against Ovince Saint Preux.
UFC 214 will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
