UFC welterweight contender Demian Maia has been all class since his win last Saturday at UFC 211.
On Saturday, Maia won a split-decision against fellow contender Jorge Masvidal.
On Sunday, Maia tweeted a photo he had taken with Masvidal with a heartfelt message to his opponent.
“Thank you (Jorge Masvidal), it was great competing against you, you are a great fighter and we needed that test to learn more about myself,” Maia tweeted.
With his win over Masvidal, Maia is now on a seven-fight win streak. Following his win, UFC President Dana White confirmed Maia would be next to fight UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley for his title.
Maia’s impressive win streak also includes wins over Neil Magny, Gunnar Nelson, Matt Brown, and Carlos Condit.
