Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone seems to be excited for his upcoming fight against former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler.
On Thursday, Cerrone posted a promotional poster for the fight with the caption, “Well I’m excited,” on his Instagram page.
Cerrone and Lawler were expected to fight back in November at UFC 205. However, Lawler withdrew from the fight due to him not being ready to fight again following his most recent knockout loss.
Both Cerrone and Lawler are coming off their first knockout losses since becoming welterweights.
Lawler lost his title in his last fight when he was knocked out by current UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley back in July at UFC 201.
Cerrone is coming off his first loss as a welterweight when he was defeated by Jorge Masvidal back in January by TKO.
Cerrone and Lawler will fight at UFC 213 on July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
