Hollywood Continues To Knock On Conor McGregor’s Door, But He Keeps Turning Them Down

UFC lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor may be taking some time away from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), but the athlete is not taking much time away from fighting. Apparently, “Notorious” has turned down another big movie role.

Conor “Notorious” McGregor is not unfamiliar territory to Hollywood. The mixed martial artist was offered a role in the new “Predators” reboot. However, the UFC lightweight champion turned it down. Now, there is another film the fighter can add to his list.

As reported by The Irish Sun, movie director Guy Ritchie was interested in offering Conor McGregor a role in his new film “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.” However, “Notorious” was not interested in taking time away from his fight game.

Guy Ritchie told The Irish Sun, “Preparing for the action scenes [in King Arthur], we watched a lot of McGregor fight footage because his style was what we were after. That very intense, singular, lightning fast, juggernaut trademark technique was perfect and we modelled Arthur’s physicality on that.

“We even went after him for a part in the movie but he wasn’t having any of it. Was training for a fight at the time, couldn’t take his attention away from that. But you can see in his presence, in his demeanor, he’s got that swagger, that real appealing cockiness. It’s an unmistakable spark.”
