It’s been a couple of years since Reebok became the official clothing sponsor of the UFC. However, the clothing brand still has issues spelling the names of some of the UFC’s top fighters.
The latest fighter to have his name misspelled on a Reebok UFC jersey is top middleweight contender Gegard Mousasi.
For $94.99, you can own a UFC jersey with the name Gegaro Mousasi.
When Reebok first starting selling their UFC Fight Kits, there were many fighters with misspelled names. Most famously was the jersey for former Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez, which had his first name as “Giblert.”
Reebok has also famously made mistakes with other top fighters including former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and former middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
Machida’s first Reebok jersey randomly featured the name “Marcio” on it. Reebok also released a t-shirt for Silva calling him “Anderson Aldo.”
Kudos to @timothybissell who spotted on the Reebok site that for $95, you can buy a Gegaro Mousasi jersey. Goes great with the Giblert kit. pic.twitter.com/7Dlka4fayi
