UFC Loses Another Top Prospect To Free-Agency, Fighter Opts To Explore Offers

The trend of the UFC losing some of their top fighters to free agency continues.

UFC lightweight Rashid Magomedov as opted to try out free agency instead of re-signing with the world’s premiere MMA organization.

Magomedov is coming off the biggest win of his career when he won a split decision against Bobby Green in April.

Magomedov has an overall record of 20-2 with five wins in the UFC. He has picked up UFC wins against Tony Matin, Rodrigo Damm, Elias Silvério, and Gilbert Burns. Magomedov’s only loss in the UFC came against Baneil Dariush.

If Magomedov decides to join another MMA organization, he will be another name added to the long list of top contenders to leave the UFC as of late. Currently, top contenders such as Rory MacDonald, Phil Davis, Ryan Bader, Lorenz Larkin, and Kyoji Horiguchi are just some of the fighters who have chosen to leave the UFC.
