Mixed martial arts veterans and UFC competitors Nate and Nick Diaz have been away from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for a moment. Now, the manager to the Diaz brothers has come forward to unveil the reasoning for the fighters’ absence from the UFC.
Most recently, Nate Diaz revealed on The MMA Hour that he is considering remaining absent from the UFC for the rest of 2017. The fighter initially had agreed to a bout for the year, but the deal later fell through. Now the fighters’ manager has stepped forward with his reasoning.
“If you’re a real fan of the Diaz bros you don’t only want them to fight but to succeed. Timing and strategy is everything in this sport. If you don’t believe me ask 95% of the promotion who are getting completely (expletive). Patience is a virtue.
“Don’t keep telling them to fight, listen to what they are saying, take a look at the UFC and get behind them for what they are doing for themselves and the sport.” He said.
