Nate Diaz has some demands from the UFC if they want him to return to the promotion anytime soon.
“If [the UFC] wants me to fight. First of all, I want a compliment,” Diaz said during an interview with Ariel Helwani on Wednesday. “They want me to fight Tony Ferguson. But what the fuck? I’m going to come back and cover for Conor (McGregor).”
Diaz revealed during his interview that the UFC offered him a fight against top lightweight contender Tony Ferguson. Diaz said he originally accepted the fight for UFC 213 on July 8. However, the UFC would not accept his terms. Also, Diaz said he does not want to do UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor’s work. He believes the UFC just wants him to take out Ferguson since he is a top contender for McGregor’s title.
