The poster for Chael Sonnen’s Submission Underground 4 has been released.
The event will be headlined by a grappling match between Dillon Danis and former UFC title challenger Jake Shields.
Danis is a teammate of UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor. Danis has recently gained recognition for calling out many top fighters in the UFC including former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.
Shield’s grappling skills at one time made his one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. He is a former Strikeforce middleweight champion. He also has notable wins over Robbie Lawler, Dan Henderson, Demian Maia, and current UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley.
Submission Underground 4 will also feature the promotional debut of MMA legend Urijah Faber. This will be Faber’s first combat sports related match since retiring from the UFC back in December.
Paulo Miyao will serve as Faber’s opponent. Miyao is a Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and a multiple-time world champion.
Submission Underground 4 will take place May 14 in Portland, Oregon. The event will stream live at FloGrappling.com.
