“Raging” Al Iaquinta is not shy about sharing his displeasure with the UFC.
This past weekend, the UFC hosted a UFC Athlete Retreat where all the fighters were invited to Las Vegas for seminars. The retreat also featured a concert starring Snoop Dogg.
“I never (expletive) understood why you have concerts. Snoop Dogg went there? (Expletive) pay me,” Iaquinta said on a recent edition of The MMA Hour.
“I don’t give a (expletive) about Snoop Dogg. (Expletive) pay me. I’m hurt, I’m tired, I’m done. (Expletive) it! (Expletive) you, how about that?!”
Iaquinta is upset with the UFC over a plethora of issues. He is not happy with how much he is compensated by the promotion. He is also not happy with the UFC’s exclusive sponsorship deal with Reebok.
Iaquinta abruptly left the retreat after the UFC announced they had formed a partnership with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. This hospital is where Iaquinta got surgery on his knee. Iaquinta claims he introduced the UFC to the hospital and is upset he did not get any credit for the partnership.
Iaquinta is one of the top lightweight fighters in the UFC. He is coming off a knockout win over Diego Sanchez. Overall, he is on a five-fight win streak, which includes a win over Jorge Masvidal.
