While UFC officials have yet to make the bout official, multiple sources are now confirming the return of former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, to his 155 pound division home.
Pettis has not fought at lightweight since a 2016 loss to Edson Barboza.
Upon making the drop, Pettis defeated Charles Oliveira with a third round submission. That lead to his last fight, a loss against now top contender Max Holloway. The Hollaway defeat was apparently enough to send Pettis packing back up to his lightweight home.
Reports now put the former lightweight champion opposite division staple, Jim Miller.
The two are expected to throw down at UFC 213, this July in Las Vegas.
Stay tuned for the UFC’s official announcement.
