In the comment section of a Reddit post, former interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Shane Carwin revealed he was paid $2 million to fight former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.
Carwin made a post on the MMA subreddit where he suggests UFC President Dana White and former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold should get past their issues and “hug it out.”
In the comments, someone made a joke about how White would respond to Carwin’s post and referred to Carwin’s fight against Lesnar.
“He can say anything he wants about that, he paid me about 2 mill to do so,” Carwin wrote.
Carwin fought Lesnar in July 2010 at UFC 116. To this day, that fight is one of the biggest fights in UFC history. It is one of the few UFC fights to sell over 1 million pay-per-views.
Carwin dominated Lesnar in the first round of the fight. Many people believe Carwin should have won the fight by TKO in the first. However, the fight continued and Carwin was submitted by Lesnar in the second round.
