UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk looks drained going into her title defense on Saturday night.
On Friday, Jedrzejczyk posted photos on her Instagram account showing the champion looking depleted.
The champion looks as if she may have had some difficulties making weight. Jedrzejczyk was required to strip down to nothing in order to make weight for her title fight.
This may have been the perfect time for the UFC to announce they are adopting a women’s flyweight division in 2017. Jedrzejczyk has already stated she would like to go up and compete at 125 pounds. For her health, that also may be the best decision.
Regardless, Jedrzejczyk made weight and will defend her title against Jessica Andrade in the co-main event of UFC 211.
This will be Jedrzejczyk fifth attempt of defending her title. She is undefeated with 13 wins. She has UFC title wins over Carla Esparza, Jessica Penne, Valerie Letourneau, Claudia Gadelha, and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
