Former UFC title challenger Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva will fight former Bellator Heavyweight Champion Vitaly Minakov in his next fight.
On Tuesday, Silva posted a side-by-side comparison of the two fighters along with statistics.
Silva and Minakov are two of the biggest heavyweights in the sport. Silva has a history of weighing in exactly at the 265-pound weight limit, while Minakov weighs in around 260 pounds.
Silva has a two-inch height and a four-inch reach advantage over Minakov.
Both fighters have managed to pick up 19 wins in their careers, but Minakov has been more dominated in recent outings.
Silva is currently on a four-fight losing streak. He was released by the UFC after losing three consecutive fights to Mark Hunt, Stefan Struve, and Roy Nelson. Silva is currently coming off a controversial decision loss to Ivan Shtyrkov in November in Russia.
Silva will return to Russia when he fights Minakov, who is one of the country’s best in the sport. Minakov is currently undefeated. In Bellator, he picked up championship wins over UFC veterans Cheick Kongo and Alexander Volkov.
Silva will fight Volkov in the main event of a Fight Nights Global event on June 2.
