Lightweight fighter Joe Proctor has been released by the UFC.
Proctor announced his departure on Friday via his Twitter account. He said thank you to the UFC for the amazing experience and ton of memories. He also wrote a heartfelt message to his fans, friends, and family.
“Today I got the call that I will no longer be fighting in the UFC. It has been a great experience. I went from banging nails to TUF 15 and making life long friends and seeing some amazing cities. I want to thank the UFC for everything they have done for me and my family. They literally have changed my life for the best. It has been an amazing journey and a ton of memories. More importantly I want to thank all my friends, family and everyone that supported me and toy my family at Lauzon MMA train hard because dreams do come true!”
Proctor is a training partner of UFC veteran Joe Lauzon. He made his UFC debut at a part of the 15th season of The Ultimate Fighter back in 2012. Proctor has a 4-4 record in the promotion. He was released following a two-fight losing streak. He last fought in April in a losing effort to Bryan Barberena.
