UFC lightweight contender Tony Ferguson has sent out a message to UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
“I’m Coming After That Gold Leprechaun, Can’t Leave The Game Just Yet,” Ferguson said in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
Ferguson has long been campaigning for a shot at the UFC lightweight title. He is on a nine-fight win streak in the UFC. His incredible run includes wins over Josh Thomson, Edson Barboza, and former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos.
McGregor won the title back in November by knocking out Eddie Alvarez and has yet to defend his championship.
McGregor is currently in negotiations to compete in a boxing match with Floyd “Money” Mayweather. If the boxing match does take place, McGregor is expected to make around $75 million. If McGregor makes that amount of money, it is likely he will never compete in the UFC again.
