On Saturday, the UFC hosted one of its biggest events of the year as UFC 211 took place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
Two titles are set to be defended in the lone star state as UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic fights former champion Junior dos Santos and UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk fights Jessica Andrade.
Before the titles are defended, UFC 211 features a stacked undercard full of intriguing matches.
The FX prelims featured a heavyweight battle between Chase Sherman and Rashad Coulter.
Both heavyweights went to the center of the cage and threw leather to start the fight. Sherman threw a higher volume of punches in the beginning of the round. Sherman used his reach advantage and threw kicks from afar. Coulter was able to close the distance and land combinations. Sherman began doing severe damage to Coulter’s left leg. The round ended with Coulter struggling to put weight on his leg.
Sherman rocked Coulter at the start of the second round. Sherman got Coulter to the ground and continued landing vicious strikes. Coulter eventually made his back to his feet and began throwing wild punches. Both fighters traded strong punches. Sherman eventually brutally knocked out Coulter with an elbow.
Official Result:
Chase Sherman def. Rashad Coulter by knockout, Rd 2.
