UFC Results: Velickovic Shuts Down Musoke After Back-And-Forth Battle

The UFC returned to Stockholm, Sweden for a special Sunday edition of UFC Fight Night.

In the main event, Sweden’s own Alexander Gustafsson fights fellow former title challenger Glover Teixeira.

Before the pivotal light heavyweight fight, the UFC once again stacked the card with numerous intriguing matchups.

The FOX Sports 1 prelims opened with a welterweight battle between Nico Musoke and Bojan Velickovic.

Both fighters took the time to test the other out to start the fight. Musoke later engaged in a clinch and took his opponent down. Velickovic fought from the bottom but struggled to get Musoke off of him. Musoke began throwing rapid shots which allowed Velickovic to get to his feet. For the remainder of the round, both fighters exchanging shots with neither fighter producing much damage.

Velickovic landed a few strong leg kicks in the beginning of the second round. Velickovic continued to be the more active fighter throughout the second round. Musoke began to open up more in the second half of the round. Eventually, Velickovic landed a takedown. However, Musoke quickly worked back to his feet. The round ended with Musoke knocking Velickovic to the ground. Musoke threw rapid punches, but Velickovic got back to his feet and ended the round in the center of the cage.

The final round began with both fighters being more aggressive than the previous rounds. Musoke went for a takedown, but Velickovic used a guillotine attempt to get back to his feet. The round ended with both fighters head hunting until Velickovic finished Musoke by TKO in the final seconds of the round.
