Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva has recently been going through some turmoil with the mixed martial arts fighting promotion.
After his bout with Kelvin Gastelum fell through, the former champion went to The MMA Hour to drop some news. Anderson Silva provided an ultimatum to the UFC. He would either receive an interim title fight or retire.
Since the ultimatum, UFC President Dana White has revealed that no such interim title fight is in the works. As a result, it would appear that the UFC may have called the former champion’s bluff. Anderson Silva has since pulled himself out of UFC 212.
Now, fellow UFC competitor Uriah Hall has decided to call out the former champion. The two fighters were set to face off at UFC 198, but Anderson Silva pulled out due to a medical issue. It would appear that Hall want’s to try things one more time.
Over Twitter, Uriah Hall sent Anderson Silva the message “@SpiderAnderson let’s make a fight happen for the fans. we have unfinished business….”
