White: ‘Conor won’t retire after Floyd fight’

UFC President Dana White is not worried about UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor retiring after a potential boxing match with Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

In an interview with TMZ, White denied claims that he is stalling the boxing match from taking place because he is afraid McGregor will retire after the fight.

“I saw a quote the other day from a guy from Showtime who said that I’m stalling the thing because I’m worried that McGregor will retire after this fight, which is completely false and not even close to being true,” White said.

“To get a deal like this done, this doesn’t happen in a couple months. It’s gonna be a tough deal to get done. If it gets done at all.”

As time goes on, the potential dream boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor seems to be more and more likely to take place. Just this week, Mayweather told TMZ there was a chance of McGregor winning the fight due to him being much younger than the boxing legend.
