Former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez recently shared his thoughts on Conor McGregor becoming a father.
In an interview with TMZ, Alvarez gave some inspiring words to the current UFC lightweight champion.
“I think he’s going to do a good job,” Alvarez said. “If he puts 10 percent of the effort he puts into his child as he does fighting, I think he’s going to do damn good. So I wish him the best of luck.”
This week McGregor and his fiance Dee Devlin gave birth to their first child. The couple gave birth to a boy who they have named after the UFC lightweight champion.
McGregor and Alvarez both last fought in November at UFC 205. On that night, McGregor defeated Alvarez to become UFC lightweight champion.
Alvarez plans to rebound from that fight at UFC 211. On Saturday, Alvarez is scheduled to fight lightweight contender Dustin Poirier.
