UFC featherweight contender Yair Rodriguez does not have many distractions heading into his next fight.
“I have no friends. I don’t go out to party. I don’t do (expletive). The only thing I do is training for fighting. That’s what my life is all about. I don’t have a girlfriend. I don’t have nothing. I’m just focused on fighting,” Rodriguez told TMZ.
Rodriguez is scheduled to fight in the biggest fight of his career at UFC 211. On Saturday, he will fight former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar.
Rodriguez also told TMZ if he beats Edgar, he expects to fight the winner of the next UFC featherweight title fight. At UFC 212, on June 3, UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo will defend his title against Interim UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway.
UFC 211 takes place May 13 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic will fight former champion Junior dos Santos in the main event.
