UFC featherweight Artem Lobov has called out former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo.
“Dont mean 2 kick u while ur down, but realistically I am as close to Conor as u could get. Forget everything and lets do it! It’be an honour,” Lobov said in a tweet directed at Aldo.
Last Saturday, at UFC 212, Aldo lost his UFC title after being defeated by Max Holloway.
His loss to Holloway was the just his second loss in his UFC career. His first loss came against UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
After losing to McGregor, Aldo has been campaigning for a rematch, but that fight is unlikely to ever take place.
Lobov is a training partner of McGregor and says he’s the closest Aldo will get to a rematch against the UFC champion.
Just like Aldo, Lobov is also coming off of a loss in the UFC. In his last fight, Lobov lost a decision to featherweight contender Cub Swanson.
