Breaking MMA news for the UFC’s biggest star, as boxing match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is now official.
A source close to Mayweather confirmed that Mayweather has officially signed a deal to come out of retirement to compete against McGregor.
Both McGregor and UFC President Dana White previously announced that McGregor had agreed to terms to make the boxing match take place.
Mayweather’s team has already requested a date for the fight to take place. Mayweather Promotions has requested the date of Aug. 26. The fight is likely to be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
This will be McGregor’s professional boxing debut. This will also be the 50th professional boxing bout for Mayweather.
