Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell is upset with the UFC over losing his job with the promotion.
After his last fight in 2010, Liddell was advised by the UFC to retire from the sport. In order to get him to hang up his gloves, the UFC offered him a job in the company.
When WME-IMG purchased the promotion last year, the talent agency fired many UFC employees, including Liddell.
According to UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping, who says he heard this information from a third party, Liddell is upset with the UFC and is now planning on returning to competition.
On a recent episode of his podcast, Bisping said Liddell was being paid $1 million a year by the UFC as an ambassador. With him losing that job, he has no other choice but to return to the sport.
Liddell appears to be serious about a return to competition. He has recently called out longtime rival Tito Ortiz. However, Ortiz retired from the sport back in January.
