UFC President Dana White has broken his silence on the incident between Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino and Angela Magana.
In May, during the UFC Athlete Retreat, “Cyborg” assaulted Magana because on an insulting post on social media. Magana had posted a photo making fun of Justino’s appearance. Justino responded by punching her at the retreat in Las Vegas.
White discussed Justino’s actions during a recent episode of the UFC Unfiltered podcast.
“This is the real world. Now, when you’re in that octagon, almost anything goes. When you’re in a (expletive) fighter retreat, nothing goes,” White said.
“You can hate ‘Cyborg’. You can love ‘Cyborg’. You can hate Angela Magana. You can love Angela Magana. You can’t put your hands on another human being outside (of the octagon). It is assault. You will get arrested.”
After the incident took place, Magana pressed felony assault charges on Justino. The UFC have not punished “Cyborg” for her actions.
