Dana White Just Confirmed Weight Class And Venue For McGregor vs. Mayweather Mega-Fight

On Wednesday, all parties involved confirmed that Floyd “Money” Mayweather will come out of retirement to fight UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor in a boxing match.

Shortly after news broke that the fight had been made official, UFC President Dana White appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter to share more information about this historic fight.

The fight had already been announced for Aug. 26 in Las Vegas. However, White confirmed that the fight will be taking place at the T-Mobile Arena.

White also announced that the fight will be held at 154 pounds.

“Conor McGregor is 100 percent positive he will win this fight,” White said.

Mayweather will fight for the 50th time when he comes out of retirement to fight McGregor. He is currently undefeated with 49 wins. McGregor will be making his professional boxing debut when he steps into the ring against Mayweather.

White also said on SportsCenter that he believes McGregor will fight in the UFC after he fights Mayweather. The UFC figurehead said he believes McGregor will fight in the UFC before the end of the year.
