UFC President Dana White may be giving strawweight fighter Justine Kish a discretionary bonus for her embarrassing night on Sunday.
On Sunday, at a UFC Fight Night in Oklahoma City, Kish suffered the first loss of her MMA career. Not only did she taste defeat for the first time, Kish defecated on herself during her fight.
During her fight with Felice Herrig, Kish was almost submitted by a rear-naked choke. Kish showed a lot of heart and fought off the submission, but the rest of her body lost control.
The day after the fight, White called Kish to check up on her after her first loss.
“He called me the day after the fight. He checked in on me, made sure I was OK. He realized there was a little bit of humiliation behind what happened,” Kish told The Domenick Nati Show. “He gave me some encouragement. He said, ‘You fought like hell out there. Loved how you owned up to it.’ I was in a dark area for a few hours.”
Kish also says White may give her some extra compensation for her performance on Sunday.
“The other thing that’s nice is that Dana hinted is that I have a discretionary bonus, a gift, for my performance,” Kish said. “The UFC is very good at giving little secret bonuses, at least to me, here and there. I didn’t ask and I didn’t pry how much it’s going to be or anything, so we’ll see. I’ll find out in a few weeks.”
