UFC 212 just went down in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the night’s main event, UFC featherweight interim champion Max Holloway faced off against champion Jose Aldo in an attempt to unify his title.
Holloway took out his opponent in the third round with a TKO victory, unifying the fighter as the new champion of the division.
That being said, many fans still consider Conor McGregor when they think of the featherweight division. Having relieved his featherweight title after achieving his UFC lightweight title, McGregor was once a champion of the division, with a win over both Aldo and Holloway.
