UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping recently revealed how to defeat top middleweight contender Yoel Romero.
Bisping said one of the keys to beating Romero is to not wrestle with him. He says Romero is possibly the best wrestler in all of the UFC.
Bisping said striking is important to defeating Romero and said exactly how to defeat him on a recent episode of his podcast.
“If you have a good boxing style, a good jab, dance around the octagon, frustrate him, pick him apart, and as the fight progresses, and he gets more tired, you look for the finish in the later rounds,” Bisping said.
“I think that is the recipe for beating Yoel Romero. That’s exactly how I would have fought him, and that’s how (Robert) Whittaker, I think, will fight him also.”
With Bisping being sidelined with an injury, Romero will fight fellow middleweight contender Robert Whittaker for an interim UFC middleweight title at UFC 213 on July 8.
