UFC lightweight contender Nate Diaz has shared his views on an upcoming boxing match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
On Wednesday, both Mayweather and McGregor confirmed that they will be fighting each other in a boxing match. Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The two will fight in a 12-round fight at 154 pounds.
“It’s gonna to be a good fight for that #2 spot,” Diaz said on his Instagram page shortly after the fight was announced.
Diaz also posted a photo from when he defeated McGregor last year. In March 2016, at UFC 196, Diaz submitted McGregor giving the UFC champion his first loss in the UFC.
McGregor is currently on a two-fight win streak going into his fight with Mayweather. Last August, he won a decision against Diaz. In November, he knocked out Eddie Alvarez to win the UFC lightweight title.
