The New York Daily News claims UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is a bigot.
Shaun King, the writer of the article, says McGregor is a bigot due to the way he has acted in the lead up to his past fights.
One of the first examples used is the insults McGregor threw at former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo.
“If this was a different time, I would invade his favela on horseback and kill anyone that was not fit to work,” was one of McGregor’s quotes talking about Aldo.
The article also claims McGregor made racist remarks towards his rival Nate Diaz.
“A little Cholo gangster from the hood,” McGregor said while talking about Diaz.
The article also points out McGregor hasn’t received much backlash due to any of these remarks.
It will be interesting to see if McGregor will bring race into his next fight. McGregor is scheduled to make his professional boxing debut against Floyd “Money” Mayweather on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas.
