Oddsmakers Give Conor A Better Chance To Beat Floyd Than Any Of Mayweather’s Prior Opponents

Many people aren’t giving UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor much of a shot against Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a boxing match.

However, according to oddsmakers, McGregor has a better chance of defeating Mayweather than many of his toughest challenges in the sport.

McGregor is currently a -550 underdog in his fight against Mayweather, but these are better odds than some of the greatest boxers in the world were given against the boxing legend.

Miguel Cotto was a -700 underdog when he fought Mayweather. Robert Guerrero was a -600 underdog. Both time Marcos Maidana fought Mayweather he was a bigger underdog than McGregor. He was a -900 underdog in the first fight, and a -600 underdog in the second. Lastly, Andre Berto was a -1,300 underdog against Mayweather, that’s over double what McGregor currently is.

McGregor will make his professional boxing debut when he steps into the ring with Mayweather. The fight will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
