Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Joe Lauzon has come under some heat as of late for his stance on the UFC’s deal with Reebok.
Initiating in 2017, the mixed martial arts promotion landed an athlete uniform deal with sports apparel company Reebok. The deal has prevented UFC competitors from attracting their own sponsors for any octagon performances.
While some of the promotion’s fighters have not been happy about the deal, Joe Lauzon recently came to the defense of the deal over Twitter. However, the fighter’s message largely received negative responses from fans.
Fans should pay more for @Reebok stuff, so Reebok can pay the @UFC more, and the UFC can pay fighters more. See the problem with this logic?

have them come out with better designs so that not everyone is looking alike and the same when they get their favorite fighter stuff

Two years is ridiculous. This big business model doesn't work with a sport that is a short time career for the most part.

I agree its very long… but thats their work cycle.

I'd rather buy a fighters personalised tee for $30 than a bland $100 reebok tee. Don't know why more fighters don't make their own merch.
