“Super” Sage Northcutt is the latest fighter to join Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California.
After talking to Urijah Faber, the founder of TAM, Northcutt decided to make the trip to California and train with some of the best lower weight fighters the world has to offer.
Northcutt discussed his reason for joining TAM on a recent episode of Stud Radio.
“I’m definitely looking to improve my grappling, for sure, transitions, and all types of this that have to do with the little things inside MMA, from stand up, to the ground, and getting back up,” Northcutt said.
“My goals are to finish my next opponent. And the next fight after that, I’m only looking at one fight at a time right now, but do the same thing and the same thing until I get the title.”
At age 21, Northcutt is one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. He already has five fights in the promotion. He is unbeaten as a lightweight with three wins.
In his next fight, Northcutt is set to return to the lightweight division. He is scheduled to fight Claudio Puelles on July 29 at UFC 214 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
