Rap icon Snoop Dogg is the newest member of the UFC commentary team.
Snoop Dogg along with soon to be UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber will do live commentary for the new UFC Fight Pass series Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.
Another, more traditional, commentary team will also be announced for the new series, but UFC Fight Pass subscribers will get the option to choose which commentary team they will like to listen too. The audio version featuring Snoop Dogg and Faber will be called “SnoopCast”.
“I’m a big fan of UFC and (am) looking forward to joining the team to bring my unique take on all the action,” Snoop Dogg said. “Y’all in for a brand-new experience with Dogg on the mic.”
Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series will consist of five live fights taking place on Tuesday nights on UFC Fight Pass. The fights will take place at the UFC Gym in Las Vegas, and will feature fighters trying to make their way into the UFC.
“Snoop and I have wanted to do something together for a long time,” UFC president Dana White said. “He’s a huge fight fan and wanted to call fights. This is a fun opportunity for fans to opt into SnoopCast and hear his take along with Urijah Faber on how the fights are going.”
The UFC just signed Snoop Dogg as a live fight commentator. Interesting stuff. Multiple audio options for new series https://t.co/h0eA20ADgL
