On Thursday, Bellator held a press conference for their upcoming pay-per-view event Bellator: NYC.
The event will be headlined by longtime rivals Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva.
After the press conference, all the fighters fighting on the pay-per-view were given the opportunity to go face-to-face with their opponents.
The bad blood was evident when Sonnen and Silva squared off on stage. Silva shoved Sonnen and the two were forced to be separated. The altercation can be seen in the video below.
Sonnen and Silva’s rivalry dates back to their time in the UFC. Sonnen has always been arrogant when it comes to his Brazilian foes. The two fighters even coached opposite of each other on a Brazilian season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Sonnen vs. Silva will take place at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City. This will be just the second MMA event to ever take place at the venue. This will also be just the second Bellator event to be aired via pay-per-view.
