On Sunday, former UFC champion BJ Penn lost for the fifth consecutive time.
At a UFC Fight Night event in Oklahoma City, Penn fought Dennis Siver in a featherweight fight.
In the first round, Penn struggled to create offense against Siver, who began picking him a part with kicks to the leg and body.
In the second round, Penn had his only shining moment of the fight when he knocked Siver down with an uppercut. However, Siver survived to make it to the third round.
In the final round, Siver dominated Penn with a plethora of kicks. Penn’s lead leg was badly bruised by Siver’s devastating kicks.
In the end, Siver was awarded a majority decision by the judges.
While there is no telling whether or not Penn will fight again. This will likely be the last time he is seen fighting in the UFC.
Fighters were not hestiant to share their opinions of Penn’s fifth straight loss on Twitter.

Penn's lead leg has been tenderized by Siver's kicks. All it needs now is some marinade. #UFCOKC

Hard to see legendary fighters continue to fight past their prime & get beat up badly. Destroys the legacy they worked hard to build #UFCOKC

A lot of people say the UFC should release or cut BJ Penn, but what would Penn do then. Fight still. BUSINESS is a doggy dog world!
— Derek Brunson (@DerekBrunson) June 26, 2017
BJ continues to fight because he doesn't have other ways to financially provide for himself & family. It's the only explaination.
