The UFC made its long-awaited return to Oklahoma City for a special Sunday edition of UFC Fight Night.
The event featured a combination of former champions, top contenders, and rising prospects.
Former UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks competed for the second time as a middleweight in the co-main event. The former champion fought longtime middleweight contender Tim Boetsch.
Boetsch opened the fight with leg kicks. Hendricks retaliated with kicks of his own. Both fighters became hesitant to throw punches. Later in the round, both fighters started to find their marks but didn’t produce much damage. Hendricks tried to throw knockout blows but struggled to connect. The round ended with Boetsch landing combinations of kicks and punches.
Boetsch landed a hard kick to the body to start the middle round. He then landed a head kick that rocked Hendricks and finished the fight by TKO.
