It has been reported that UFC Hall-of-Famer and two time former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes has suffered an accident. Upon crossing a set of tracks in his vehicle, the fighter’s truck was struck by a train on its passenger side.
Following the accident, Matt Hughes was airlifted to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The fighter is reported to have received head trauma and to have been seriously injured.
Now, longtime manager of Matt Hughes, Monte Cox has come forward with some new information on the mixed martial arts legend’s condition.
Monte Cox reported to MMA Junkie that Matt Hughes is currently in a coma. Nothing more on the health of Matt Hughes is known at this time.
