Boxing star Paulie Malignaggi has broken his silence about what it is like sparring with UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
This week, Malignaggi has been brought in to help McGregor train for his professional boxing debut.
Next month, McGregor is set to fight boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather in Las Vegas.
On Friday, Malignaggi tweeted about his experience boxing with the UFC champion.
“Good rounds last night with (Conor McGregor), Malignaggi said on Twitter. “My code is sparring details stay in the gym. Look forward to helping him get ready for 8/26.”
Malignaggi went on to say that there was a lot of trash talk between him and McGregor, which led to their sparring session being more fun.
Even though McGregor has no professional boxing experience, he is one of the best MMA fighters in the world today. His knockout power in the Octagon has made him one of the most feared strikers in the sport.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Good rounds last night with @TheNotoriousMMA. My code is sparring details stay in the gym. Look forward to helping him get ready for 8/26.
