Chechnyan President Ramzan Kadyrov has challenged UFC fighters to come fight to the death in his country.
When Kadyrov isn’t ruling his country, he promotes local MMA fights.
Recently, HBO’s Real Sports did a feature on Kadyrov’s MMA promotion.
“Sooner or later, I think we will prove we have the best fighters,” Kadyrov told HBO. “We propose that UFC and Akhmat face off in a tournament and we’ll see who has the strongest fighters. I think it would be quite a spectacle. They would fight to the end. A fight to the death.”
Also during his interview, Kadyrov said to his fighters death is better than losing.
“I want to show the world that we have the best fighters,” Kadyrov said. “Our motto is, ‘death is better than second place.’”
