UFC President Dana White welcomed a new fighter to the UFC after he earned a devastating knockout win.
On Tuesday, Sean O’Malley knocked out Alfred Khashakyan on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.
At just 22, O’Malley dominated his opponent and overwhelmed him with strikes throughout the fight. In the final minute, Khashakyan had all he could handle and was knocked out by the bantamweight prospect.
After the fight, White gave O’Malley a contract and welcomed him to the UFC.
O’Malley is undefeated with eight wins. Only once in his career, O’Malley went the distance in a fight. Primarily, he is a knockout specialist with five of his wins coming by knockout or TKO. However, O’Malley can also get the job done on the mat. He has two submission wins on his record.
Fighters who compete on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series are not guaranteed a contract with a win. So for O’Malley to automatically receive one, he must have really impressed the UFC figurehead.
