The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted one of the year’s most highly anticipated events over the weekend, as UFC 214 took place in Anaheim, Calif. on Saturday. The mixed martial arts promotion provided three title fights and a full card of exciting bouts. However, not everyone was pleased with the night’s co-main event.
In the night’s co-main event, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley faced off against grappling phenom Demian Maia. The fight would go on to break the record for least strikes thrown in a UFC title fight. It would also go on to pull boos from much of the Honda Center’s audience.
In the video below, UFC’s own “Smile’n” Sam Alvey can be seen looking somewhat perturbed by the night’s co-main event. In this case, it would appear that event “Smile’n” Sam was not smiling during UFC 214’s lead up to the night’s main event.
