Floyd “Money” Mayweather has responded to allegations of UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor getting knocked out during a recent sparring session.
McGregor is currently training to make his professional boxing debut against Mayweather. After going on a world press tour, McGregor returned to training and rumors have begun to spread that McGregor got knocked out earlier this week.
“Everything is rumors until I see it,” Mayweather said about McGregor getting knocked out. “I have to see it with my own eyes.”
McGregor has never been knocked out in a fight. All of McGregor’s MMA losses have come by submission.
While Mayweather has almost all of the advantages going into their boxing match, McGregor’s top qualities are his punching power and durability. If McGregor got knocked out by a lesser boxer than Mayweather in training, one of his best attributes may no longer be a factor.
McGregor will fight Mayweather at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Aug. 26.
